Day 12
Blog Post #13 – January 12th, 2020
I was feeling a little under the weather today. But no matter what I had to get the groceries purchased and meals cooked. I usually do meal planning with my meal planning service which gives me a grocery list, then I go to the HEB (local grocery store) web site and shop for my groceries and do a curb side pick up. They have now added some coupons to the site. Even though there is a cost to the service, about $5.00, it cuts down on the impulse buys which saves money in the long run. No wine samples on the internet! I have three recipes made and lunch prepared for tomorrow. Groceries for the week totaled about $130.00.
My husband went to Lowe’s with the card we bought last week and bought rock salt for the water softener and a new air filter for the refrigerator. We still have about $7.00 on the card. Our home warranty doesn’t renew until March so we just need to save 1/12th of the $660. For that. The dryer seems to be not drying as well as it used to so we will have to keep an eye on it.
So far none of the cars are acting up this month. So if we can avoid any major hiccups we should be ok.
I will check in with Judge Gargotta again tomorrow to see how he is holding up.
