The Means Test

These are very difficult times for a multitude of reasons. Our economy came to a screeching halt and I think the means test is misleading in representing the people who need help. The means test is used by the bankruptcy courts to determine whether someone qualifies for filing bankruptcy. It looks at income, expenses, and debt to get a snapshot of the person trying to file.

My hope is that the people working on the bankruptcy code will talk to current lawyers who believe the means test is outdated and useless and get rid of it.
